CORUS Northern Engineering Services (CNES) has manufactured a custom hydraulic rig for Oil State Industries which will be used to test seamless steel pipes in China.
The test rig will be used to replicate tension and compression forces
Oil State Industries develops deepwater and onshore production solutions for the oil and gas industries. It will deliver the finished product to the headquarters of its Chinese-based client, Tianjin Pipe (TPCO).
TPCO manufactures seamless steel pipes for oil, gas, construction and machinery applications. The pipes must meet ISO 13679 standards to ensure they can withstand high-tension and high-compression forces when in use. CNES says the test rig will be used to replicate these forces.
