Hydraulic hoses
KAMAN Industrial Technologies has acquired Industrial Rubber and Mechanics (IRM), a Puerto Rican distributor of fluid power products, for an undisclosed amount. The company supplies and manufactures products such as hydraulic hoses and packaging equipment to the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cement and aggregate industries. Kaman says the purchase will allow it to expand its operations to expand out of North America and to increase its “geographic footprint.” The acquirer says despite the global economic turmoil, it is more than sufficiently capitalised to make such an investment. IRM posts annual average sales of around $US13m.
